We bought our holiday house in Nairn, not only because Nairn itself is a lovely small town, but because it is an ideal base for a huge range of activities, from watersports to sightseeing.

- The small fishing villages along the Moray Firth coastline, including Findhorn, Burghead, Lossiemouth and farther afield to Cullen, Pennan , Portsoy and Crovie. This area has been named one of the most beautiful and unspoiled coastlines in the world.
- The Cairngorm National Park with its mountains and lochs, walking and cycling trails.
- Culloden Battlefield, Brodie Castle, Cawdor Castle, Elgin Cathedral and Castle Urquhart on Loch Ness to name just a few of the historic sites.
- The Isle of Skye's Cuillin mountains, Kyle of Lochalsh and the west coast with its spectacular rugged scenery.
